Welcome
Power Dog specializes in Canine Physical Therapy. Dogs, like people, are often injured during exercise or sporting activities, can slow down with age, or suffer from various health and neurological issues. Physical therapy can truly help. Whether it is arthritis, a tear in the cruciate ligament, a spinal problem, a sore limb, bone fractures, post-surgery recovery, or a debilitating disease, dogs will benefit from the variety of treatments we offer.
Physical therapy for dogs is very comparable to physical therapy for humans. In canine PT we do a lot of specifically-designed strengthening exercises, stretches, manual therapy, massage, laser and ultrasound, and exercises geared to their specific needs.
Most dogs are experts at hiding pain, but a prolonged hidden injury, evidenced by intermittent lameness, can lead to very serious problems down the road. It is very important to get help at the first sign of a problem. Using a canine physical therapist you will learn not only how to help your dog to heal, but also how to avoid further injury.
Physical therapy for canines at Power Dog includes Manual Therapy, Therapeutic Exercises, walking in the Underwater Treadmill, Low-Level Laser Therapy, Balance Activities, Ultrasound, Interferential Electric Stimulation, and Craniosacral Therapy.
Power Dog offers skilled treatment by the only Certified and Licensed Canine Physical Therapist in Western Mass.
